How to deal with the problem of screw broken head in cold heading machine ?

When the cold heading machine produces the screw cold heading, the screw will break. How should we deal with this problem?

1.Firstly, remove the sludge on the surface of broken screw and kill the center of the section with a center jack. Then install a drill bit with diameter of 6-8 mm with an electric drill and drill hole in the center jack hole of the section.After drilling through the hole, take off the small bit and replace it with a bit with a diameter of 16mm. Continue to enlarge and drill through the hole of the broken bolt.

2. take a diameter of 3.2 mm below the electrode with small current in the broken bolt hole by the start of surfacing welding the parts inside and out. Take off half the length of the bolt the whole can. Began surfacing welding arc not too long in order to avoid the broken bolt outer wall burn through. After surfacing to broken bolt end face as a surfacing out a 14-16 mm high 8-10 mm in diameter of the cylinder.

3.After surfacing welding, hammer the end face with a hand hammer to make the broken bolt vibrate along its axial direction. Due to the heat generated by the previous arc and the subsequent cooling, coupled with the vibration at this time, the screw thread between the broken bolt and the body will loosen.

4.When it is found that a small amount of rust has leaked from the fracture after striking, the M18 nut can be fitted on the overlaying stigma and the two will be welded together.

5.After welding, it is cool and hot. Use a box wrench to cover the nut and twist it back and forth, or use a small hand hammer to knock the end face of the nut to remove the broken bolt.

6.After removing the broken bolt, process the screw buckle in the frame with an appropriate wire hammer to remove rust and other sundries in the hole.
